There's something about this fabric that inspires "my precioussssss" type covetousness.
First of all, I got into a terrible bidding war over this fabric on eBay. It's red knit with little zebras all over it, and all I could think about was the kids' joke: "What's black and white and red all over? A zebra with a sunburn!" I had to,
had to have it. And paid far too much for it as a result. Then it got worse when my Grams put the bad mojo on me. She saw the fabric and decided she wanted a shirt from it, and she almost always gets her own way. Well, I told her "No way!" and very carefully drafted a simple cap sleeve shirt with my measurements...except somehow, it didn't fit. At all. Despite "measuring twice and cutting once." She jinxed me, man! And the shirt fit her perfectly, of course -- so she got her way. I just barely had enough to make a second shirt for me -- but I did, and here it is.
Quite a story, am I right?
