Day 85: Heading home.

Day 84: Perfect weather.

This sort of day is why October is usually awesome in Missouri. It had been unseasonably cold, but not today.

Day 83: Chickens.

Day 82: Dinner out.

I didn't realize my shirt was all wonky there. Oops!

Day 81: Travel weary.

This is after the plane and a trip to the Nelson-Atkins Museum. I was worn out, and I forgot to tell my photo-taker to make sure my feet were in the frame...

Day 80: Long day.

We're leaving to visit my family in Missouri tomorrow, and I had a ton to get done today...

Day 79: Summer again.

It's completely hot and humid again. Jeez.

Day 78: Subversive.

I look like such a nice office drone...until you notice the dangling skeleton necklace. And then you wonder.

Day 77: Chilly.

• Blue hoodie, Wal-Mart last year.
• Grey t-shirt, Old Navy, remixed.
• Black skirt, remixed.
• Black velvet sneakers, Simple.

I went shoe shopping yesterday. These sneakers are so much more comfortable than Converse, and supposedly "green." So, suck it, hipsters!

Day 76: Crooked.

• Black skirt, sewn by me, remixed.
• Danskos, remixed.

My necklace and my sweater are crooked. My new haircut appears to be crooked, but actually isn't -- I overslept and didn't have time to fix it, so it was all wonky. But it's a fantastic haircut -- thank goodness.

Day 75: Ch-ch-ch-changes.

When I left the house it was almost 90 degrees, but when I got to work it was at least 15 degrees cooler. It made me worry that I might flash freeze like a mammoth, which is a persistent neurotic thought I have. (Thanks a lot, Art Bell and Whitley Strieber.) Also, I am not being tormented by a supernatural entity; the white artifact in the picture is part of the tripod.

Day 74: The last hot day?

I understand a cool front is coming. I am so ready for that.

Day 73: Faulty memory.

• Kimono sleeve cardigan, Torrid clearance.

• Purple shoes, remixed.

I honestly can't remember if I've worn this cardigan yet or not.

Day 72: Jaded.

• Purple tank top, sewn by me.
• Capris, Lane Bryant, remixed.
• Tevas, remixed.

This was the first knit top I've made without a serger in a long time. I guess I've still got the chops, though the pattern I used was a little wonky.

Day 71: Fortitude.

I look like I'm doing a half-assed ballet pose, sort of. Didn't mean to. Hmm.

Day 69 / Day 70.

I was pretty much sick all weekend. I didn't leave the house, and I wore pajamas the whole time. I've decided that we're going to implement the snow day principle here. I think there was at least one other day during the project where I was sick and didn't get dressed, so I'm going to tack some extra days at the end, snow day style, to make up for it.

(See, for those of you who don't know, schools that use snow days build a certain number of them into their yearly schedule, and if they don't use them all, you'll get out of school that number of days early. However, if you use too many...you will have extra days at the end of the year, which is a serious bummer when you're 7. Trust me on that.)

Day 68: Not jazz hands.

I'm really starting to enjoy that single bullet point. Also, it save typing. Hah!

Day 67: Bright is alright.

There is purple in the scarf, so the shoes aren't as random as they seem. I really love that scarf.
